Hear. See. Drool. The Knife’s Brand New Release: “Full Of Fire”

After a seven years since their last release, The Knife is coming out with a new album, Shaking the Habitual. Seems like they are blasting their way out of hibernation with the first single off that record. There is a graininess to Karin’s vocals that for some reason have me running back to my Kim Gordon-fronted Sonic Youth songs, and of course an edge and drive that is always truly indicative of anything The Knife does.

It is true, we’ve had plenty of time to listen to Karin Dreijer’s other project Fever Ray — and if you’re like me, you’re always looking for more of it — and indeed there have been enough of The Knife remixes floating around the interwebs since then.

Check out the first single off of their upcoming album. It’s been out for a couple weeks (about as long as it’s taken me to finally finish writing this,) but nonetheless, hope you enjoy.

And while you’re at it, check out their site — make sure to pre-order their record if you like what you’ve heard. There’s no question about whether or not I did.

Cheers!
